Found in a river bottom in South Carolina in conditions only for the bravest of divers! A very large fossilized tooth from this extinct species of shark regarded as the largest and most powerful predator in vertebrate history. The tooth shows interesting erosion from millions of years of exposure producing wonderful sculptural qualities. The tooth enamel is of black and lighter gray hues with nice deep brown and black roots. Size: 3-3/4"L x 3-1/2"W at widest point. Provenance: Ex-private Santa Fe, NM collection.
