Description:

United States, United Kingdom, & Ottoman Empire, ca. 19th to late 20th century CE. A framed assemblage of metal detecting finds and curiosities, presented on red velvet within a wooden display case. The collection spans British coins from 1915 through the 1990s, alongside an eclectic mix of small artifacts: a D-ring, a keyhole plate, a company plaque, buttons, disc-shaped machinery parts, and the remnant of an iron-copper lion passant signet ring. Also included are four silver-copper Ottoman-Islamic coins and a nickel-brass belt buckle inlaid with a U.S. 1889 Morgan silver dollar, the verso stamped by the Bell Trading Post - a 1930s Albuquerque business producing jewelry inspired by Navajo and Southwestern styles. Size of wood case: 13" L x 1.5" W x 13" H (33 cm x 3.8 cm x 33 cm); buckle: 2.5" L x 1.5" W (6.4 cm x 3.8 cm)
