Description:

Latin America, Mexico, ca. late 20th to 21st century CE. A beautiful pair of glass sculptures: a green leaf embedded with grains of sand and a marbleized skull vessel. The towering leaf is hollow with loops lining the periphery to give it a natural ridge. Vertical indentations bisect both sides, surrounded by sand to five it a sparkling, texturized surface. Alternatively, the skull jar is formed from vibrant colors reminiscent of a flame and sits upon a clear base with a hexagonal grid impressed on the underside. A tubular spout rises from the top of the skull. Size of larger (leaf): 4.8" W x 14.1" H (12.2 cm x 35.8 cm)
