West Africa, Nigeria, ca. 1940s to 1950s CE. A massive iron weapon of a symmetrical serrated leaf shape. Iron weapons like this piece were recognized and used as currency for rare but major transactions. Size: 25.25" H (64.1 cm); 27.25" H (69.2 cm) on included custom stand.
