Description:

Native American, Plains Indians, ca. 1940s to 1950s CE. A colorful beaded knife sheath adorned with three zoomorphic, perhaps deer, figures standing in profile, lane-stitched with sinew and glass beads of royal blue on a white ground - with a red and yellow interlaced triangular pattern beneath, the sheath body and fringe trim made of rawhide. A lovely example with an intriguing decorative program. Size: sheath body 10.25" L x 3.375" W at widest (26 cm x 8.6 cm), fringe 4" L (10.2 cm)
