Bactrian Empire, Central/Western Asia, ca. 1st millennium BCE. A petite oval vessel, finely carved from a piece of agate and sitting upon a rounded bottom. In addition to the impressive workmanship of this piece, the agate is inherently beautiful, presenting an overall champagne hue with milky white ovoid inclusions that follow the general form of the piece itself. Size: 2.375" W x .5" H (6 cm x 1.3 cm)
