Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A charming miniature figure, mold-formed from blue-glazed faience, depicting Isis, the wife of Osiris and the goddess of life, magic, and wisdom. Isis is shown nude in a striding pose atop an integral plinth with arms held tightly against her sides, and lengthy bangs covering her shoulders and breasts. Her minimalist visage is defined by slit-form features, and her signature throne-shaped headdress projects from atop her head. Size: 0.3" W x 1.3" H (0.8 cm x 3.3 cm); 2.125" H (5.4 cm) on included custom stand.
