Egypt, Ptolemaic Period, ca. 332 to 30 BCE. A set of 3 mold-formed faience funerary figures called shabti (plural ushabti) covered in colorful glaze. Each figure presents standing in mummiform with arms crossed atop their chests and with slender tripartite wig lappets framing their minimalist faces and false beards. Size of each (all are relatively similar): 0.45" W x 1.6" H (1.1 cm x 4.1 cm)

Provenance: ex-estate of Eldert Bontekoe, Pegasi Numismatics, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, acquired before 2000
