Greece, Athens, ca. 5th century CE. A sweet and petite lekythos vessel decorated via the black-figure technique. The iconographic program features three warriors and a lion, with one brave warrior engaged in direct combat with the lion in the center of the scene. Rays adorn the shoulder and striations frame the figural scene. An elegant vessel adorned with an exciting, action-packed narrative. Size: 4.375" H (11.1 cm)
