Description:

Roman Empire, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A beautiful pale green glass pouring vessel with a bulbous near-spherical body, rounded shoulders which constrict slightly inwards, a tubular neck tapering until rising to a splayed mouth with a pinched trefoil spout, and an undulating trail handle joining rim to shoulder. A small round area on one side of the body shows lighter blue coloration, possibly caused from resting in the earth, or on the flip side, being exposed to the air (while the rest of the vessel rested beneath the surface). Areas of brilliant and fiery iridescence. Size: 1.5" W x 2.5" H (3.8 cm x 6.4 cm)
