Native American, North America, Southeast, Shoals/Sugar Creek region, Osage culture (pestle) and Mississippian culture (bowl), early 19th century. Two Native American works. First, a stone pestle of the Osage people of Sugar Creek along the Missouri River in Alabama. Next a fine, round-bottomed Mississippian bowl with four lug-like appendages at the rim. 3 3/4"L (pestle) and 3 1/4"h X 4 3/4"D at widest (bowl)

  • Condition: Stable hairline crack and two chips to inner rim of bowl. However, nice root markings, intact, and very good condition. Pestle shows minor wear from use. Else intact and very good condition.
