A fascinating archive from the estate of Morris "Moe" Berg (1902 to 1972), the enigmatic Major League catcher turned OSS intelligence operative, comprising a curated group of personal and historical documents including a 1938 financial statement tied to Berg's Red Sox period, multiple wartime and postwar envelopes addressed to Berg from notable figures such as R.C. Extonman and Theodore von Karman, a 1945 Zurich birthday letter, a 1947 personal letter from "Estella," period correspondence referencing Berg's intelligence work with the OSS, two Berg baseball cards (one of which is a 1933 Goudey #158), and a copy of Nicholas Dawidoff's "The Catcher Was a Spy," all accompanied by a letter of authenticity from James Spence Authentication.
