Native American, Southwestern United States, Dine (Navajo), ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A lovely belt with high quality to sterling silver concha medallions on a leather strap. There are 5 bowtie / butterfly concha ornaments and 6 disc-shaped conchas with repousse / etched motifs and a scalloped edge. All silver pieces have a copper loop welded on the back for the leather strap to pass through. The largest "buckle" concha has a cut out center for the strap and once had a prong pin. Size: 43" L (109.2 cm); concha buckle: 3.25" Diameter (8.3 cm); silver quality: 90% to 92%
