Description:

Ancient Central Asia, Bactrian, ca. 2500 to 2250 BCE. A lovely and wearable collection of a little over 100 ancient stone beads, each hand cut, polished, and drilled from agate stones and strung on a modern wire with a lobster clasp. The agate is naturally banded and striated in many earthen tone hues of umber and sienna brown, citrine, beige, creamy white, tan, charcoal, coral, black, and gray and present varying shapes of ellipsoid, oblate, coin, spherical, cylinder, convex rectangular, and barrel, with a bicone bead at the center. The strand is balanced with the larger beads arranged at evenly spaced intervals between the more petite stones. Size (necklace): 35" L (88.9 cm); (largest bead): 1.8" L x 0.5" W (4.6 cm x 1.3 cm)
