Pre-Columbian, Panama, Chiriquí, ca. 1200 to 1500 CE. This tripod, spider-legged jar has high relief, hatched elements on the legs and around the neck, and spiraling handles. The legs contain rattles. This style of pot is found in both Panama and bordering Costa Rica. Size: 4”L x 7"H x 7-1/4”W. Provenance: Ex-private Rousseau collection acquired before 1984.   • Condition: The body of the jar is in good condition, with few chips. The red paint has some small black stains. One of the legs has been reattached. All leg rattles remain functional.
