Description:

Ancient Seas, Middle Miocene to End of Pliocene Eras, ca. 23 to 2.6 million years ago. A large and impressive Megalodon tooth with the enamel face polished to reveal its natural luster and striking internal coloration, while the reverse and root remain in their original, unaltered state. The tooth displays a rich blend of cream, gray, and brown hues - natural mineralization from millennia of fossilization. Measuring 5.5 inches (14 cm), this tooth represents the apex predator of the prehistoric seas - the mighty Megalodon, whose jaws could exert one of the most powerful bites in natural history. A dramatic specimen that combines both natural history and aesthetic appeal, ideal for display on its custom stand. Size: 5.5" L x 3.4" W (14 cm x 8.6 cm)

Provenance: private Colorado, USA collection, acquired in 2025; ex-Charleston, South Carolina, USA collection
