Lot 93I
Pre-Columbian, northern Central America (El Salvador, Honduras, or Guatemala), Mayan-influenced, ca. 600 to 900 CE. An interesting bowl with four nubby legs and a frog face design that juts from one side of the rim. This bowl probably once has a lid and would have been a trade good throughout northern Central America. The swirling interior design was done using the technique of resist decoration, which was inspired by Usulutan and indicates Mayan influence. Size: 10.45" W x 3.45" H (26.5 cm x 8.8 cm)
