A fabulous "Sukia" (medicine man) figure carved from volcanic basalt stone, depicted squatting, with upraised knees, his back slightly hunched, arms resting upon knees, feet with delineated toes planted on an integral plinth, peacefully smoking through a tubular shaped implement and looking out with nicely delineated angular facial features. A finely carved figure of a harmonious classic ritual position from the ancients of Costa Rica! Size: 8.75" L x 7.25" W x 10.5" H (22.2 cm x 18.4 cm x 26.7 cm)
