This large, arrow-shaped, copper war axe is finely carved and incised with pyramidal motifs perhaps representing the Andes and spiral motifs likely representing ocean waves. It boasts an impressive weight and has developed a beautiful patina over the ages. 6-1/4"L x 3-1/2"W Provenance: Ex-Colorado Springs Gallery, Ex-Amsterdam Gallery, Ex-Valenbreder Collection, Leiden, the Netherlands.
