Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, Arizona, Chaco Canyon type, ca. 1150 to 1250 CE. A white-ground pottery bowl, formed via the Pueblo coil-and-scrape technique, exhibiting a rare representation of the agave plant in black pigment within the basin. Agave was regularly fermented to create alcohol, however illustrations of the plant in Ancestral Puebloan pottery artistry is exceedingly scarce. Size: 4.6" L x 4.3" W x 2.4" H (11.7 cm x 10.9 cm x 6.1 cm)
