Native American, Southwestern United States, Western Texas, Delaware River (Creek), ca. Middle Archaic to Woodlands period, ca. 4000 BCE to 1500 CE. A collection of 5 ancient and massive stone blades clearly worked by human hands, knapped and chipped along one or more edges into sharpened cutting tools. The enormous size of the largest (16 inches or 40.6 cm), suggests it was for ritual use or perhaps it was used like a shovel. Written on the surfaces of each is "Cactus Knife" and the find site and year. Size of largest: 16" L x 0.5" W x 9" H (40.6 cm x 1.3 cm x 22.9 cm); smallest: 4.5" L x 4.25" W x 9" H (11.4 cm x 10.8 cm x 22.9 cm)
