Description:

Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Proto-Maya, ca. 300 to 100 BCE. A hand-built pottery female seated with crossed legs and arms placed atop her thighs. The woman presents nude with a slight forward lean and looks to be listening intently to a story being told. She peers forward with large, incised eyes while her prominent nose and full lips define the rest of her physiognomy, and her coiffure is arranged in neat rows of petite impressions. Size: 3.7" W x 5.5" H (9.4 cm x 14 cm)

This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full printed and bound report is available to the buyer upon request.
