Latin America, Mexico, Spanish Colonial Period, ca. 17th to 18th century CE. A lovely early Spanish Colonial candelabra made from several wrought iron pieces. There are 3 sconces, the lower two upon arms that are attached to a central vertical shaft that rests upon a flat, disc base. The sconces are formed by hammering the tips of the arms flat then molding each into a cupped shape for securing the candles, and additional decorative scrolling and curled flourishes are riveted to the arms, lending a tasteful tree or branch-like appearance to the candelabra. Size: 8.625" W x 10.3" H (21.9 cm x 26.2 cm)
