Description:

Ancient Egypt, Middle Kingdom to Second Intermediate Period, 12th to 17th Dynasty, ca. 1991 to 1550 BCE. A hand-built pottery female figure of highly stylized form shown standing atop fused legs. The woman presents nude with petite breasts and incised striations denoting her pubic area, and a large necklace is draped across her clavicle. Her coiffure is parted down the center with large bangs draped off either side of her minimalist facial features. Perhaps once worshipped as a fertility figure, this is an intriguing artifact from ancient Egypt. Size: 0.8" L x 2.34" W x 5.22" H (2 cm x 5.9 cm x 13.3 cm)
