Eastern Mediterranean. Ca. 2nd - 3rd century A.D. Blown light blue-green and deep blue bi-color glass juglet having an applied deep blue solid glass handle, applied neck ring band and rim around the trefoil lip. Tapered bulbous body, tapered cylindrical neck, and applied deep blue glass foot ring. Overall strong fiery iridescent surface patina. Missing a portion of the applied neck band otherwise intact. Size: 6-1/8"H. x 2-7/8"W.
Provenance: Private collection of Monsieur M from Dijon, acquired in the 1980's. Hotel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo, Monaco Auction 143 #68 (05/04/2019).
