Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A striking glass intaglio depicting the profile head of a warrior donning a helmet, presenting an ovoid form, comprised of dark blue and white glass. The silhouette of the soldier is depressed into the glass, while the overlaid white glass is incised with details at the helmet and neck. Boasting impressive artistry and attractive coloration, ready to be set in a lovely ring to wear. Size: .625" L x .375" W (1.6 cm x 1 cm)
