Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A set of beautiful earrings shaped from curved wire of between 91.82% and 93.65% gold. The relatively circular accessories are each fitted with a cerulean glass bead dangler as well as a more-petite, royal blue glass bead dangler, and each is made wearable by a modern 14K gold-plated sterling silver French hook. Size of each (both are relatively similar): 0.49" W x 0.78" H (1.2 cm x 2 cm); 1.35" H (3.4 cm) with modern ear wires; gold quality: 91.82% to 93.65% gold (equivalent to 22K+); total weight: 2.0 grams.

  • Condition: Wearable as shown and constructed in modern times. Circular ear wires and glass beads are ancient; gold-plated silver French hooks are modern. Each with slight bending to wires and light abrasions to glass beads commensurate with age, otherwise intact and very good. Great luster throughout.
