Description:

Egypt, Romano-Egyptian Period, ca. 1st to early 5th century CE. A fabulous necklace featuring glazed faience tube beads and petite faience seed-form beads in polychrome colors that alternate with several lozenge-shaped glass beads. Pairs of blue faience tubes create spaces between glass beads constructed using mosaic and millefiori techniques, and the center of the accessory bears green-hued faience tubes that gracefully complement the lighter glass. Strung in modern times with twisted twine, this is a wearable necklace that is sure to turn heads and spark conversation! Size (necklace): 26.5" L (67.3 cm); (largest bead): 1.1" L (2.8 cm)
