Description:

Russia, c. 18th to 19th century CE. A flat bronze plaque with a relief portrait of a saint standing beneath a smaller relief of Christ's head. Russian writing is above the large saint's head and two smaller figures of saints are above his shoulders. There is a hole in the back, for suspension, and four holes around the edges, although their use is unclear (perhaps to put a piece of glass over?). Size: 1.95" W x 2.6" H (5 cm x 6.6 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Private LA County collection formed over the period between 1980 and 2000.
