A wonderful silver snuff box or cigarette case adorned with a gilt interior and a niello decoration of a landscape as well as foliate, lattice, and linear motifs. The interior of the top and bottom are stamped with a Kokoshnik mark with the initials of the assayer Ivan Sergeyevich Lebedkin (Moscow, active 1898-1914) along with the maker's mark "CH." Size: 4" L x 2.6" W x 0.9" H (10.2 cm x 6.6 cm x 2.3 cm); silver quality: 88%; weight: 127.5 grams
