Sasanian Empire. Ca. 5th century A.D. Five different carved stamp seals, two of cream-white agate and three crystal examples, all having fancy carved geometric body decorations, and each with a different carved stamp seal impression. Included are three different crest types, two having inscriptions, a standing winged figure holding a staff, a standing winged figure holding an object. All are intact with a couple having minor wear or imperfections. Size: 1/2" to 7/8"W.
Provenance: Private NYC. collection, acquired from Henry Anavian, Sumer Gallery, NYC., 1990's.
