Description:

Ancient Seas, North America, Eastern United States, South Carolina, Paleocene to end of Pliocene eras, ca. 66 to 2.6 million years ago. A beautiful bracelet made from sterling silver and fossilized shark teeth! The 9 teeth are set in open-backed bezels that are connected by rings, each with a nice root and lustrous enamel. A toggle clasp on 1 end and a series of ringlets on the opposite end enables this bracelet to be worn and allows for adjustable sizing. The slightly curved profile of the teeth suggests a species of prehistoric Carcharocles angustidens (relative to Megalodon) or Mako sharks. Size (bracelet): 7.7" L x 0.75" W (19.6 cm x 1.9 cm); (largest tooth): 0.76" W x 0.58" H (1.9 cm x 1.5 cm); sterling silver quality: 92.5% or higher; total weight: 20 grams

  • Condition: Wearable as shown and constructed in modern times. Shark teeth are ancient; sterling silver components are modern. Minor nicks and abrasions to some teeth, with some abraded areas not exhibiting as much luster as other, unabraded areas, otherwise intact and very good. Great preservation to all shark teeth.
