Description:

Papua New Guinea, ca. 20th century CE. A striking conical finial topped by an abstract anthropomorphic head. The face sits under a heavy brow with a deep V resembling a hairline extending down the forehead. The face has been painted red and green and is capped by a rounded hat. Perhaps the most intriguing feature of the face is an elephant-like nose that hangs down well below the lips, ending in a curled up spiral. Comes with custom stand.
