Description:

Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Teotihuacan, ca. 3rd to 7th century CE. A hand-built pottery figure standing upon broad feet with an ankle-length tunic draped atop the body. Small hands peek out from the edges of a red-painted vest beneath an incised two-row necklace, and rounded shoulders taper inward to a wide neck. The characteristic triangular head boasts slit-form eyes and lips, a petite nose, large discoid ear spools lined with impressed stippling, and a wide brow, all beneath an intricately-incised coiffure. Size: 2.875" W x 4.3" H (7.3 cm x 10.9 cm).
