Pre-Columbian, Central Coast Peru, Chancay culture, ca. 1200 to 1450 CE. A wonderful ensemble of 3 Chancay pottery figures, each shown standing adorned with beige, black, and red pigments and surmounted by a large headdress. All presenting bulging eyes, a raised nose, and a petite mouth, 2 of the figures hold are adorned with beaded necklaces as they hold their hands to their chests, while the third and largest figure holds his arms outward designating him as a Cuchimilco figure. Size of largest (Cuchimilco figure): 2.3" L x 5.8" W x 9.6" H (5.8 cm x 14.7 cm x 24.4 cm)

Provenance: private Manhattan Beach, California, USA collection, acquired prior to 2004
