Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Chupicuaro, ca. 500 to 100 BCE. A set of 3 hand-built pottery vessels including 2 bowls and a shallow dish, each with smooth, stone-burnished surfaces. The monochromatic dish features a shallow basin and a petite central kick while the second bowl features a black X in the basin center as well as a trio of hollow, conical legs. The largest bowl bears dark brown and red-orange linear motifs within the basin. Size of largest: 8.24" W x 2.125" H (20.9 cm x 5.4 cm)
