Native American, Midwestern United States, Archaic to Woodland periods, ca. 6000 to 1500 BCE. A group of three knapped chert and flint stone tools, including two knives and one projectile point. The dark gray blade, purportedly from Indiana, is identified as a Stanfield knife, with a long triangular body and squared base. Another elongated blade of pale white chert originates from Missouri, with gently expanding edges and a rounded base. The third example is a white chert projectile point with barbed shoulders, a straight stem, and a squared base, crafted for hafting onto a wooden shaft. Size of largest: 5.75" L x 1.75" W (14.6 cm x 4.4 cm)

Provenance: Private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Dr. David Harner collection, Springdale, Arkansas, USA, acquired between the 1950s and 1960s
