Pre-Columbian, Bolivian highlands, Lake Titikaka region, Tihuanaco/Tiwanaku ca. 600 to 800 CE. A lovely handbuilt polychrome bowl, with beautifully painted exterior walls featuring two panels with what appear to be abstract domed huts in the center surrounded by white starlike cross forms, alternating with a pair of relatively plain panels adorned with a single wavy line, all in a striking color palette of red, orange, white, and black hues. Size: 6.625" in diameter x 3.625" H (16.8 cm x 9.2 cm)
