Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, Arizona, Tohono O'odham (Papago), ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A pair of handwoven basketry pieces hand coiled by Angelita Frank-Mandra. One is a lidded jar, and the other is a shallow tray. Included are the original sales tags from Kitt Peak Arizona. The baskets are both made from traditional native plants and the foundation coils are bundled cattail or grass, and the splints are yucca leaf. Size of lidded jar: 9" Diameter x 10.5" H (22.9 cm x 26.7 cm)
