Description:

North Africa, modern day Morocco, ca. 521 to 252 million years ago. A pair of trilobites, preserved together in a single matrix, with excellent detail remaining, especially on the larger of the two. The trilobite (meaning three-lobes) was a marine arachnomorph arthropod that seems to have been one of the most ubiquitous animals from the Early Cambrian to the Late Permian, when they were killed during the mass extinction at the end of the Permian period. They had an easily fossilized exoskeleton, which you see clearly on both of these specimens. Size: 11.75" W x 18" H (29.8 cm x 45.7 cm)
