Western Europe / United States, Victorian to Edwardian era, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A beautiful pair of antique earrings the 75% to 86.7% gold settings cupping carnelian intaglio stones. The carnelian are engraved with the facing heads of Mars and Bellona - both helmeted. The rim of the filigree setting is inlaid with seed pearls, and large ear hooks with a C-clasp are mounted on the verso. Size: 1.5" L x 1" W (3.8 cm x 2.5 cm); gold quality: 75% to 86.7% (equivalent to 18K to 20K+); weight: 11.3 grams

Please note these are antique and the hooks contain 3.7% to 7% lead, we highly recommend replacing or coating hooks if you intend to wear these.
