**Originally Listed At $600**

Pre-Columbian, Northern Peru, Vicus culture, ca. 200 BCE to 600 CE. A fine pottery vessel comprised of 2 chambers - one of figural form and the other as an ovoid jar - connected via a lower tube and an upper strap that doubles as a handle. Depicted from the waist up, the female figure is shown nude with a prominent navel and pointed breasts as her short arms extend from either side. Her stylized visage features a pair of huge, almond-shaped eyes beneath dotted brows, a sharp nose, and thin lips held in a gentle smile, all flanked by a pair of sizable, cupped ears. Though enveloped in red pigment, faint remains of black negative resist decoration further embellishes the surface. Size: 8.5" L x 6" W x 7.4" H (21.6 cm x 15.2 cm x 18.8 cm)
