Pre-Columbian, Peru, Vicus, ca. 100 BCE - 100 CE. Redware double lobed vessel with human head and arms protruding from top of rimmed front enclosure, short rear spout, and bridge handle. The visage of the anthropomorphic head is quite expressive with a large angular nose characteristic of Vicus figures, elongated bean-shaped eyes, and perforated ears for ornaments. Some black and cream painted facial decoration remains. The figure dons a four pointed crown-like headdress.
