Description:

Egypt, New Kingdom to Late Dynastic Period, ca. 1550 to 332 BCE. A beautiful faience bead necklace, restrung in modern times with a secure lobster clasp for wearability. The necklace is composed of tubular turquoise-hued faience beads, arranged into striking diamond-shaped panels and separated with smaller disc spacers in cream, yellow, and russet tones. This geometric arrangement creates a visually dynamic pattern while showcasing the shimmering blue-green color so prized by the ancient Egyptians, symbolizing fertility, life, and rebirth. Size length: 31" L (78.7 cm); largest beads: 0.5" L x 0.1" W (1.3 cm x 0.3 cm)
