Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic Period, ca. 664 to 30 BCE. A beautiful necklace of wearable form strung with dozens of tubular and seed-form faience beads in hues of turquoise, taupe, beige, coral, and sage. The midsection of the necklace is adorned with a trio of mold-formed faience amulets depicting a shrew and 2 seated deities. Size (necklace): 28.5" L (72.4 cm); (largest pendant): 0.74" L x 0.19" W x 0.51" H (1.9 cm x 0.5 cm x 1.3 cm)
