Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. What was once an incredible piece of ancient sculpture, still retains a certain presence even if fragmentary. Depicting a large female, probably holding a bowl on her lap, torso showing right hand to her breast and large section of her right leg. She once was adorned with headband and beaded shoulder bracelet. Size as displayed: 7.5" W x 14" H (19 cm x 35.6 cm)

Provenance: private Ventura County, California, USA collection, collected before 2000
