Northwestern Africa, Morocco & Algeria, Atlas Mountain region, Upper Paleolithic to Mesolithic Period, ca. 24,000 to 8,000 years ago. An assemblage of 18 knapped stone tools crafted from flint/chert and quartzite. These pieces represent a variety of small blades, scrapers, and cutting tools produced by prehistoric hunter - gatherer groups living across the Atlas Mountain zone. Each artifact displays deliberate flake removal and shaping, reflecting the technological skill of early human toolmakers. Purportedly collected from multiple sites in Algeria and Morocco, this group provides an excellent study set illustrating the stoneworking traditions of Late Pleistocene and early Holocene North Africa.
