Daniel Merriam (American, b. 1963). "Meadow Through" acrylic on panel, 2015. A mesmerizing painting by Daniel Merriam, an artist best known for his imaginative style and dreamlike iconography. The scene in "Meadow Through" features Victorian architecture with romantic landscapes visible through an elegant portal and a heart-shaped window as well as beyond a charming garden wall graced by a mysterious close eyed visage. Fluttering butterflies throughout add to the fairytale quality of the composition. All is rendered with an ethereal color palette composed of soft pastel hues and Merriam's keen attention to details that conjure Art Nouveau symbolism. A magical painting, mounted in an attractive custom frame with an art light mounted above the frame. Size: 24" L x 18" W (61 cm x 45.7 cm) Size (frame): 31" L x 25" W (78.7 cm x 63.5 cm)
